I was raised to be overdressed rather than underdressed 🤷🏼‍♀️. The situation you described wouldnt bother me.

Yes a few times. Once at my husband's promotion and I  went to a wedding where people were wearing jeans 😬
Idc though, better to be over dressed and look nice than too casual
