Ovulation cramps

For those of you who experience ovulation cramping.. when you’re cramping does that mean the egg is getting ready to release and once the cramping stops the egg has been released? When the cramping starts is this the best time to have sex? I’m very blessed I get the cramping so I have a very reliable indicator I’m ovulating. I’m just trying to understand what exactly the cramping means. I have been getting positive opks since yesterday. We BD last night, going to again tonight and hopefully tomorrow. I hope we catch this little egg!!
