Second trimester headaches?

Any of my 2nd trimester momma’s dealing with newly acquired headaches? Didn’t have this at all first trimester (or first pregnancy) and I’m getting them about every other day, starting at my temples and hurting through the back of my head and down my neck. Didn’t know if it’s a sign I’m not drinking enough water or something?

Yes!!!!! I never got headaches with my first pregnancy and I started getting them in the 2nd trimester with this pregnancy. I don’t get them as frequently but I think mine happens when I’m tired. Since you’re getting them so frequently, I’d let your doctor know

Me! My doctor said headaches are a good thing and it means your hormones are strong. He said they get worse in the beginning of 2nd trimester and will hopefully get better by the 3rd trimester.

Taking 400-800mg of magnesium should help prevent them.

How many weeks are you and how is your BP? Constant headaches are a sign of high blood pressure. This is baby 3/4 that I’ve battled this with and my headaches are constant. 2&3 were pre eclampsia babies and this one they won’t diagnose before 20 weeks but my BP is not being managed well with meds so it’s just chronic High BP. If you have the chance check your BP and if the numbers are high call your OB
