What do babies wear in the hospital?

Ftm and struggling to pack her bag! It’s cold and raining where we live so does she need just sleepers in the hospital or onesies or does she need full outfits? I’m bringing a blanket too, but I’m overwhelmed trying to figure it out. I’ve packed 4 different times and keep changing everything. Help appreciated lol.

At the hospital, the nurses will likely keep them in a diaper and blanket swaddle because they want you to do skin-to-skin and will need to unwrap them often to weigh them, check them, etc. Make sure you have something warm for them to wear out of the hospital, like a footie sleeper and hat. And maybe a blanket for covering them in the car seat (over the buckle) if it’s really cold where you are.

Also a FTM and has the same question. I packed a warm sleeper and blanket to go home in and a few swaddles, but it seems like the hospital will have what we need. 
Also packed a Patriots onesie so he’ll be game ready if we’re in the hospital when the game is on 😊

Like other mom’s have said, in the hospital they’ll be doing frequent checks on baby so most provide a hospital shirt but if not it’s best to just use the hospital blanket and the diapers they give you until it’s time for pictures and/or going home... also helps to keep them mostly naked to get the most amount of skin to skin in those first few days 😁👍🏻 I’d only pack 1 or 2 outfits and a blanket for the ride home for baby literally anything else the hospitals normally provide

To begin with my baby was in a nappy and swaddle, then he wore a short sleeved baby grow and long sleeved sleepsuit x

On baby #3 and I packed sleep sacks and zip up one piece outfits they usually keep the rooms on the warm side

I packed two sleepers, a onesie incase she is hot I n the hospital and pants and a hat, mitts and socks. Some diapers and wipes and 2 blankets. My sister told me that For the most part baby will be naked for a lot of skin on skin, and the nurses can provide warm blankets, and diapers. We also only spend 2 nights in and leave the next day by 3pm. Just make sure you have a warm blanket to put on baby when heading to the car 🥰. Lots of luck and of love!
