I’m 7weeks and 2 days. I have Severally morning sickness 24/7, I vomit every day and also feel nauseous all the time, can’t keep anything down. My doctor prescribed me Ondansetron. What do you guys think? Will that affect my baby?

Has anyone tried Ondansetron?

I’ve had an iv infusion of it running constantly since 11 weeks, and before that I was taking the pill version, and my baby is perfectly fine and I’m 32 weeks 🙂

I'm a pharmacy tech, and my advise would be to either talk to your doctor, or local pharmacist. Either one would 5ell you whether or not it would or wouldn't hurt your baby

Dramamine is also over the counter, and works like ondansetron, but it isnt a prescription. You can always talk to the phsrmacist/doctor about that. We have a few pregnant women that get recommended to take regular dramamine over the counter

I have been taking it since week 9. There was one study that linked it to birth defects. Very low risk in that study. all other studies have shown no negative outcomes. It’s prescribed to about 25% of pregnant women.
