Should I not use this leave in conditioner? My eye swelled shut

I use this leave in conditioner on the ends of my hair. I’ve never had a problem with my skin reacting to it. I accidentally got it in my eye somehow and my actual eyeball swelled up (the literal white of my eye it was really weird) and then my entire eye swelled shut. I flushed my eye with water and took Benadryl and it spent the whole day today going back down to normal. It’s fine now, I wouldn’t just be so fine about it if it was still a problem I swear. But should I consider that an allergy or just a reaction from my eye just being irritated by freaking hair product being in it?

I got it in my eye because I was rushing and put it on my hands to rub on my hair (it’s in a jar) and somehow forgot I had it on my hands and touched my eye (I don’t remember what for) and yeah. 😳 I’m just dumb and got really strange looks from people trying to figure out why I looked weird
