Can I eat before going in for induction?

Question

My induction is scheduled 12/24/19  at 6 a.m.
Can I eat breakfast?
Or should I just eat a late dinner?
 I don't want to be hungry the whole day waiting for baby to come. 
If you were induced an you eat did you have a bowel movement while pushing?
 I'm sure at the moment I wouldn't care, but just want to know.

8 years ago once the process started I was told I could not eat. I was given beef broth and jello only. During the actual labor phase I ended up puking on the nurse anyway so I guess that’s why they didn’t want me to eat. 
This time I am most likely having a c-section so I am expecting to not be able to eat before hand. But let me tell you I already have my first breakfast meal picked out and first dinner lol, gestational diabetes got me wanting things I haven’t been able to eat

Definitely eat something :-) my husband and I had pizza for dinner in our hospital room after the Dr have me the cervidil. I did end up vomiting and having a couple of episodes of diarrhoea during labour but no pooping during pushing, there was nothing left to push out by that stage (other than a baby obviously lol). Plus there is plenty of evidence that eating during labour is good for mum and bub and does not increase the risk of aspiration if you happen to need a general anaesthetic (which uncommon these days). You need fuel for the marathon that is childbirth!!

I say eat! They didn’t let me once the process started and the process was 42 hours total so I was STARVING by the time I was done. Only gave me broth and Italian ice to eat

My hospital had me order lunch while I was in labor. Said I'd need the energy.

Girl, eat! I ate a huge meal before my induction. I would go to the best diner before you check in and get all your favorite foods.

You’d have to call and ask, some prefer you DONT eat, some don’t care, I was induced with my first and it took 3 days to give birth, they let me eat the whole time, and I did just that 🤦‍♀️ the hospital food was good af
