Overreacting or not?

Ok I just need to know if I'm overreacting or not so I know if I should continue being mad.

My husband, who is an amazing man and does a lot for us, never goes out. Like ever. The most he does is spend an hr or 2 with a guy across the street. Usually doesnt bother me.

Except for this time.

There had been a few guys over there since last night. They partied ALL night. Literally haven't gone to bed.

We took our son to a santa claus parade and did a few errands and when we got home my husband asked if he could go over for a few beers. I said sure, since it'll probably be the last time for a while since we're having a new baby by csection on Tuesday.

He goes over. No big deal. I sat in the living room playing with our toddler. A few hrs go by and I see my husband, who is a NEW driver (less than a year) get into the drivers seat of this guys truck.

Ok FUMMING. I'm fumming because we literally just had a conversation about drinking & driving the night before last because he drove home after having 1 beer after work.

He says "I took Matt home and only had half a beer. Everyone's hammered"

Matt lives a 5 minute walk. Like 1 minute drive.

I'm not stupid, hes had more than half a beer in the time he has been there. At least 2. As well as whiskey+egg nog because he sent me a text an hr before asking if it was ok

Now he wouldn't have been very buzzed if at all but it's the whole principle. Right? This is how it starts. This is how people get killed. Also never ok to get behind the wheel after putting alcohol in your mouth especially as a new driver who needs a 0.0 blood alch. level when driving.

He said he knows it was stupid and hes sorry but I'm still so annoyed that he would even think about it. Again, especially after JUST talking about it the night before last.
