Hysteroscopy now or after retrievals?

CR

Evening ladies!

I’m in the middle of Stims for a retrieval this coming week. My last sonogram showed a polyp that just appeared. (All other ultrasounds clear, SIS several months ago was clear, lining looks great.) Dr thinks it’s the Stims meds I’ve been taking off and on for several months that’s the culprit.

We’re still able to do the retrieval, but a fresh cycle is no longer an option. We’ll need to freeze things and then get the polyp removed before any transfers can happen.

Question for you - would you get the polyp removed after the retrieval so subsequent retrievals (I have a lower egg count so safe bet we’ll need to do one or two more) have the option of a fresh transfer? Or would you get all retrievals out of the way first, forgoing fresh as an option, and then get it removed?

I see pros and cons to both. My concern with getting it taken care of sooner is if polyps form later on from more Stims meds then it defeats the purpose. Getting it taken care of later means no fresh transfer, but maybe better peace of mind when a transfer happens that everything is clear?

Thoughts? No right or wrong. Just curious what your opinions are or if you’ve experienced! Thanks!!
