ICSI vs conventional IVF
How do people feel about conventional
IVF (mixing sperm and eggs in Petri dish) vs ICSI?
My RE wants us to do ICSI with no PGS, but everything I read says to do conventional insemination in most situations. Because it is more natural, less cost, may reduce risk of genetic conditions, and has the same or better success rates for live births.
On the other hand, ICSI is good if you have male factor infertility, previous IVF failure, or want PGS.
FertilityIQ echoed these thoughts as well (https://www.fertilityiq.com/IVF-in-vitro-fertilization/conventional-insemination-or-icsi?startTime=166&playUnmuted=1#which-patients-benefit-from-which-approach).
