Eating spicy foods while bf ?

My husband is making buffalo wings tonight, I agreed to it.. now I’m so sad because if I remember correctly my lactation nurse told me not to be eating spicy foods while bf?

Ive never heard that... It can make your milk taste a little different and that's good for babies pallet.

I’ve never avoided spicy foods while breastfeeding.  It’s actually good for baby to get flavors of stuff you would normally eat in your household.

I’ve been eating spicy foods while BF for two years. No issues. 
Not every baby is going to have a problem with it

I eat buffalo all the time. I think it’s an old wives tail 🤔 Either way, I’ve never noticed any differences in my son when I eat spicey food. Maybe start off with small amounts and see if there’s any changes.

Unless you are allergic you can eat pretty much whatever you want.

I pretty much eat whatever while breastfeeding. My son didn’t like it when I ate way too many Brussels sprouts (or asparagus, don’t remember which), Chinese takeout didn’t seem to agree with my daughter’s system until she was old enough to start solids. So I avoided those for a while, no big deal. Definitely have eaten spicy, neither of them had any issues, both eat taco meat and buffalo chicken now, too
