Is this for me?

Hi, ladies-

I am currently a teacher thinking about becoming a SAHM once my contract runs out in May. I kept my job because I thought I would be able to balance my job and my baby. I can’t stand the fact that I only get to see her a couple of hours per day! By the time I get home, she’s ready for a bath and nursing. Plus, I teach orchestra, which means that I often have events at night and on weekends- more time away from her. :(

Did any of you switch to being a SAHM when your baby was older (she will be 9 months at the end of my contract) and has anyone done this on a teacher’s salary? My husband is a college professor and makes about the same as I do.

Any advice will be appreciated.
