Baby shower?

This is my second baby! Woohoo!! My first was a girl and I actually had a couple different showers cause different friends offered to throw one for me. This time I need/want another one since I don’t have any boy things. My question is do I throw my own shower? Or do I ask a friend to help?? I don’t want to sound needy 😫

I had a shower for my daughter and am now having a boy. I am not having a second shower. I told my family and friends not to throw one. Everyone knows it’s our first boy and I know people will give us clothes and blankets and such when he is born but I didn’t feel right asking them to give gifts again. If they want to they will. 
If no one in your family has offered then I think you should throw one yourself if you want one.

My mom and my sister in law didy.first shower for my daughter. I suggested a sprinkle (just a smaller shower) for this one and they weren't sure, but when we found out it is a boy they decided I definitely needed something. I have a lot of reusable things, but needed boy clothes and blankets, etc. And it's just fun to get together with my friends and family and celebrate having a new baby. I suggested you ask. It doesn't hurt to suggest a small gathering where people can bring some diapers and a cute outfit or blanket or something.
