Ultrasound tech pressed so hard it hurt?

Is it normal that my ultrasound tech was pressing so hard that it hurt to the point where I was wiggling and moaning because of the pain and she pushed so hard it made me pee a little (during a abdominal ultrasound)..my first ultrasound tech didn’t do this..she just lightly set the wand over my stomach and was able to get a good picture.

When I had my anatomy scan she told me baby was really low in my pelvis and practically dug a hole in my stomach but atleast she seems apologetic to it. Sorry about your experience it sounds painful especially since your tech didnt seem to notice your discomfort! I left feeling like my stomach was bruised but  that was the only time it happened.

Most ultrasounds I have had with both my pregnancies ( a total of 7) about 5/7 the sonigrapher put a lot of pressure so she was able to get a clear imagine. If you tell them it hurts they will/should stop and do it lighter. Some are just heavy handed they don't mean to be it's just the way they are during the ultrasound. Just let them know it hurts and it's uncomfortable ect.

Ahhh the same!!! I would have appreciated the Doctor telling me before she had to push so hard so I was ready for it! I have a backwards facing uterus- so it’s further from the surface. In the end she had to switch to a vaginal wand to see anything. Then the baby was facing the wrong way so she quite vigorously wiggled the wand inside me to get it to move. It was not pleasant. 
I mostly wish she’s told me what she was going to do before so I knew. It was like she was so focused on what she was doing she forgot I’m an actual person. 😩😩

When i was 8 weeks the tech needed to push down and dig around to even find the uterus. My fiancé was looking at the tech like she was digging my eye out with a spoon. 😂 It was deep into my stomach but it was only a little painful and with a full bladder I am very thankful I didnt pee my pants.
