Cervidil?

Has anyone ever gotten cervidil one day then an induction the next? What is it.. can you walk me through your experience 😬 doing this next week ah not sure what to expect

Cervidil is used first to dilate your cervix. Sometimes this is enough to have your body start its own labor process, but if not they induce you with a drug called pitocin which starts contractions. You don’t want to induce contractions without having some dilation of the cervix.

it’s inserted into your vagina and placed next to the cervix like a tampon. You can move around while it’s in but you do have to stay seated for the first hour￼
