2 years no period
So I’ve been EBF since my daughters birth (15 months). My and my husband would like to start trying for baby #2 sooner than later. I haven’t had my period for a little over 2 years, and my doctor said that I would need to start the weaning process in order to get my period back, which I don’t really want to do. I stay at home with my daughter full time, and I feed on demand along with regular meals and snack of course.
Sunday I was gone from the house from 5:30 am until about 4:15 pm. So no breastfeeding or pumping the whole day. I got home and went to the bathroom and was spotting a little bit, with having symptoms of a period (headache, backache, cramps). This lasted 2 days.
So my question is.. was this a short period? Am I getting my period back after 2 years of not having? Did I just trick my body from not breastfeeding for about 20 hours? I was so happy when I thought I got it back, because I want baby #2 soon! Has this happen to anyone before?? TIA
