Feel a ball under my jaw/chin

So idk what this area is called... but I feel a little ball when I run my fingers under that area and im wondering if it’s normal? I’ve had it for months and my doctor had said maybe I was gonna have a throat infection or something but I didn’t get sick until like 5 or 6 months after I saw him. Is this normal ? Or what could it be?
