Does he really like me??

So ladies I've been talking to this guy for over a month and he is a sweet guy but I have a couple of issues. #1 our conversations used to be so good and now they're just getting boring. I'll write him a whole paragraph and he'll just write back 2 words like oh okay, oh yeah, lol.. I've tried talking to him telling him how I feel but I just feel like he really doesn't care to much so I just deal with the boring conversations. #2 he won't call unless I ask him to and even then I feel like he really doesn't want to. He barely ever even text me first. We have met and he says he likes me but the way he acts says differently. I don't know if I'm just thinking to much into it or if he's just playing with me.. I just don't wanna be hurt again.
