Did using a more expensive pump help you achieve more efficient sessions and more ounces?
So long story short after many lactation consultants and tears I’m exclusively pumping. Unfortunately my supply took a nose dive last week from not being able to be consistent with a pumping schedule or eating or water or sleep bc of a colicky baby with a cold the past two weeks.
I have an electric pump I got off amazon but it usually takes me 45 minutes to get a full session in and drain my breasts. Does anyone else have this issue? I think it may be the fact I need a different pump that’s higher grade... did switching pumps give you ladies more ounces as well as efficiency? I didn’t expect to be EP and so the one I have is a forty dollar unit rather than the $150-350 units I’ve seen women brag about on social media. I don’t think my Medicaid covers a pump in ND because my baby wasn’t preemie and doesn’t have tongue ties etc... I need to call my rep to make sure the info on the document online was correct in not covering. Thoughts?
I have the pump pictured below (Wwhaus ?)
and was thinking of getting the Spectra S2 or medela but read the spectra is more efficient and quieter ... I’d like the spectra S1 but it’s twice as expensive so we’ll see what Medicaid says. I just really need a better supply so I don’t have to keep increasing the formula supplements and feel so defeated! Thank you!
