After 18 months TTC, we are finally starting fertility meds next month.

My doctor is giving me the choice between Clomid and Femara. She said they are both great and she has seen success with both of them but they each have their differences. She’s letting me decide which one I would like to go with.

I have no idea what route to go. I had an ectopic pregnancy in March that was treated with MTX. I’ve had an HSG and diagnostic lap which both came back okay. But I’m pretty anxious about having a repeat EP and I’m not sure if these meds put me at an increased risk for that.

I would really love to hear from others on what their experience has been with either one of these medications. The good, the bad, the ugly, the victory- all of it. I will need to make a decision in the next few days.

(Pretty sure cost will be about the same for either one so that doesn’t help in the decision making process)
