Anyone been here before with stories and advice?
I currently have a 4.5 month old baby boy who I love so much. Before we conceived him we were pregnant last year and found out after 11 weeks that it was ectopic. I was super lucky ( after seeing 4 drs who never bothered to do an ultrasound for unexplained bleeding) that my tube was able to be saved with methotrexate. It was one hell of an experience and it took quite a toll on my fiance and I. We later found out I had a partially blocked tube, I've previously had a miscarriage and chemical pregnancy before my ectopic so knowing these things we decided to try again once I was in the clear. We had success after 2 months with using OPKs. I ended up having gestational diabetes (needing insulin for my night sugars while I slept) with my son and we was born via induction at 39 weeks and 3 days. I saw my diabetes dr who helped with my pregnancy and apparently my fasting sugars put me in prediabetic category. My fiance and I get married july 2020 and I want to try again for baby #2 after the wedding as i dont want a huge age gap between kids and my partially blocked tube puts me at 50/50 risk of another ectopic and I dont want to play around with chances of another and my age affecting it. I'm currently 22 and while I know that sounds young, my pregnancy experiences I've had, I would truly rather not go through an ectopic in my 30s or wait and potentially struggle to conceive as I want 3 kids total. My question is have any other moms been in this position? I have to ideally lose 20-40lbs because I'm prediabetic and I'm guessing that needs to happen before baby #2, and I'm wondering how others have dealt with any of this or similar. TIA
