Boyfriends mother is awful

My so and I have been dating for a while now and I have a child whom he loves and treats like his own. However I CAN NOT STAND HIS MOTHER. She is selfish, greedy and a lair. My parents are super supportive and very welcoming. Well his mother is NOT. And is mad that I refuse to go over there and let her meet my child. I was switching jobs when I had first met him and his mother called me “oh she a young broke mom who just wants our money” first of all my family come from money and money is definitely not something I want from her or her family. I make damn good money for myself and have money to which I will inherit when I’m older. She’s just so rude and just thinks everyone owes her something. So I had my lay straw the other night. He is currently working full time and finishing up his last year in college. He makes decent money and his mom is upset that he won’t come quit is job and come work at her little new store she bought knowing they could NOT afford it. So is trying to guilt trip him into working for her for barley minimum wage?!? He noticed I was pretty upset and told me he would leave he would drop all of his family so we can continue to build a life for us but I don’t want him to just do that because family is important. So I’m stuck on supporting him on his choice but also stuck in telling him no
