Demi sexuality is sort of the bi of the grey sexuality spectrum (ie how you feel attraction). On the one hand there are allosexuals (most people) who feel sexual attraction to others without various conditions, and on the other hand you have asexual people who feel no sexual attraction or intrest. A Demi person feels sexual interest only if they have formed a bond with the person in question.

Demisexuality is when someone doesn't feel sexual attraction until there's a strong bond/connection with someone. It's commonly mistaken with celibacy or abstinence (coming out as asexual be like), but they are not the same thing.
