Armpit temp questions

Is 99 degrees taken by armpit a fever? I hold the thermometer in her armpit & hold her arm down until it beeps. She seems warmer than usual & she has a lot of spit I keep suctioning out of her month. Idk what to do to help her she’s pretty irritable 😔
