Csection or risk of tearing

Laura

Ok so this is my 5th baby.

My oldest is 9 years old, and with him I was induced at 40w exactly. He was 8lbs6oz and I suffered a 3rd degree tear. It was a rough recovery (from what I can still remember)

My second is 6 and I had my tubes tied the day he was born. No tearing as he was only 6lbs10oz, but I had the tubal ligation laparoscopy so it was sore but nothing super painful (started back to college 7 days pp.

I had a tubal reversal in march of 2016, which I have had ppl compare to a csection, but I survived the recovery.

My third I had a 2nd degree tear, he was abt 7lbs13oz but recovery was ok.

My fourth no tear, he was abt 7lbs15oz.

All but my first were induced at 39 weeks.

So I am getting my tubes tied when I have this baby boy, and at 35 weeks he was already weighing 7lbs3oz, with his belly in the 100th percentile measuring 4 weeks ahead, and his head measuring 3.5 weeks ahead....my dr said it's up to me if I want to just be induced or if I would prefer a csection....the date will be dec. 30th, and I start back to college classes 3 days a week on jan. 8th.

I am trying to decide if i would rather risk tearing and then also have the tubes tied (so 2 places with stitches/glue) that will need to heal, or with a csection just one incision to recover from.....thoughts???
