Burning after nursing

I have been breastfeeding my daughter for 5 months. Since about 3 weeks, by breasts will sting/burn after I nurse or pump a few times a day. I had thrush that cleared up around that time. After that cleared, the burning continued under my breast. My OB thought it might be them filling back up again, but didn’t really have any answers. I have just kinda felt with it since August. This past weekend it got worse. On Friday I felt under the weather. Saturday I started a little fever and my right started to hurt like a bruise or something. My nipples got super sore to the point that I didn’t want to nurse (I did, but holy cow). My fever went away Saturday but they were still very sore yesterday. Today they are a little better. The burning and stinging is still there. Since the beginning of August, my nipples have been turning white. I don’t think it is normal to have pain/burning, but I don’t know what it could be. I called my OB but I’m thinking she might just write it off again. Has anyone had this happen? What can I do to help it?
