Needy baby

Anyone else have a high maintenance needy child? I feel absolutely tapped out. He is glued to me. Only wants me and is just plain hard work. We are still breastfeeding and I'm back at work so I get that he wants me for comfort when I'm home, but honestly I'm exhausted and overwhelmed. He is a terrible sleeper and wakes numerous times throughout the night. His sister was a dream and I'm struggling to see an end in sight. Please tell me I'm not alone. I'm starting to think I've done something to make him like this.
