Comfortable toddler shoes for walking?

My 2yo recently started walking on our 2 mile walks with us, rather than riding in the stroller. We have a pair of Adidas, Reebok’s, and Stride Rite, but his feet are always sore after our long walks. Can someone recommend a really comfortable pair of shoes for walking long distances?
