I know it’s a bit long but I’d appreciate the read!
Hello
I went through the search area on here and looked into Braxton-Hicks vs labor because I wasn’t too sure, this is my second but I had a little bit of bh and like no contractions with my first. But what I got out of what I read was that bh are not regular and aren’t painful, more like stomach tightening/period cramps. And real labor contractions are regular, painful, don’t go away with movement and mostly moms said you can tell the difference!
So I’m wondering if any moms have had painful bh yesterday I got up to cook dinner (around 5:30) and shortly after got this pain in my lower stomach made me stop dead in my track, it hurt! But I walked it off I think a bit later I got another except this time I couldn’t walk it off. Every moved I made hurt me that much more so my fiancé told me to sit down and he’d finished dinner but even though I was sitting if I tried to move even a little it hurt so much, but eventually it did ease up, I helped clean up and then we sat down and they started again so I wanted to try and take a hot shower even though I was still feeling pain. But after the shower and getting in bed(around 8:30) they went away so I decided they were bh. Then again today on and off for about 3hrs I had sharp pains in my lower stomach to the point I couldn’t move, I tired to relax and drink water, it helped a bit but it so bad a point I wanted to cry. But then again after the few hours no signs of pain. I don’t know if I’m thinking to much into this but would you consider this bh even with how much pain they have been causing me? I have an appointment with my ob Friday and was going to try and hold out till then or does this seem like something I should just call in and ask just in case?
Sorry this is so long but I’d really appreciate the input! Thank you.
