Just an upset mom moment.

My son was just not feeling today. He was crabby and his eyes were bothering him. (Recently found out he is allergic to my sister’s cat.) So to cheer him up, my sister and I took him out to eat at his favorite restaurant. While there we got loved on by Santa and even got a dinosaur balloon animal! We were starting to feel better and become happy.

By the end of the meal, my sister asked if we should get his face painted. We agreed to let the lady paint his arm since we didn’t want to irritate his eyes anymore. So my sister walked back to the lady to him painted. SHORTLY after here comes my son running up to me showing me his “tattoo” (both my husband and I are heavily tattooed and any mark is a tattoo apparently to a toddler). His “tattoo” was literally just a red line down his arm. I was confused and looked up at my sister. She explained to me that the lady refused to paint my son since he was too ticklish and was mad because when he jumped, she jumped. Causing her to spill some water.

Even tho my son was proud of the “tattoo”, I was upset. If you work with children, I believe you should have better patience and understanding. I mean, he is only two after all. Am I wrong to feel this way? 🤔
