Theft or misunderstanding ?

So ladies I need your opinions.. I got my boyfriend a nice ring for Christmas from Kohls and It accidentally got shipped to my old address so I changed everything in my account for future purchases and went over to my old apartment and asked the new lady that lives there If she had received anything. she was being kind of weird saying no, I only got a letter from the internet place and I shredded it... like uhm ok. I was polite and walked away. UPS went to her door yesterday and asked if she would give the package because the driver said it was in fact delivered to her front door. He said she handed him a box of crackers and cheese. So uhm idk what’s going on. Should I involve the police or? Kohls thank goodness is sending me a replacement but I just hate thieves. What would you do?
