Chiropractor while pregnant ?

Have you been? What all can they do? My husband goes and told me I should go because his chiropractor takes pregnant women but I don’t wanna spend the money for nothing. My back has been hurting horribly- I’m a nurse and work 12 hour shifts

My sister is a chiropractor and teaches at a school. You want to make sure you go to someone trained in Webster theory as that is a speciality on pregnancy. I have been going once a week and feel great still at 32 weeks. I highly recommend going.

I ADORE my chiropractor. I see both a chiropractor as well as a massage therapist once a month. I work in front of a screen all day, and for years I worked on my feet in retail.  Between the strain on my muscles and the problems with my posture they are both needed appointments. My chiropractor has been so helpful in correcting my posture, realigning my spine and just making so much of my pain disappear.  It is totally safe to see a chiropractor while pregnant, just make sure they have worked with pregnant women before. (Same with massage therapists!) Every patient is going to have different treatments, but I can honestly say it has helped me SO much, not just in pregnancy, but in regular life.

I have heard it is fantastic for pregnant women! It helps get everything in alignment  and can shorten labor! I haven’t been yet but my husband keeps telling me to go. I wish I could have done the full pregnancy package one of the chiropractors here offers, but I just don’t have the money, and my insurance won’t cover it.

I went once with my daughter, it helped but only for a week or so & I didn’t want to keep paying $20 to get through a week/few days so I toughed our the rest of my pregnancy. I’m currently pregnant again & tried a maternity support band.. I HIGHLY recommend them! They’re only like $15 but my OB prescribed mine & my insurance covered it all.

I would not have made it through this pregnancy without my chiropractor. I had mild scoliosis before getting pregnant and the back pain was just so severe. I started going to him around 20 weeks when my sciatic started acting up and OMG what a world of difference it makes. You just feel looser and much more relaxed. The adjustments don’t hurt at all. Mine had a special table so I could lay on my belly while getting my back and neck adjusted.

I go weekly for pain in my hips/pubic bone. I’m undecided if it helps. Some days are just more painful than others with pregnancy, so it’s hard to tell if the appointments are helping or if I’m just having some decent weeks. I’m still in pain every day, but it’s not as severe. 🤷🏻‍♀️

They definitely work with pregnant women. I've seen this before when at my chiropractor's office. It always worried me... but I know it works wonders for their back issues and I'd assume probably leg and neck pain as well. Wont hurt getting a consult

I see my chiropractor regularly every 2 weeks, I'm also a nurse but only do 8s. If I didn't go I would be crying in pain all the time
