Stopping at 1 baby???

I thought I wanted 2 kids for sure, but now I'm so set on not having anymore! I loveeee my baby boy so much but I do not want to go thru pregnancy/delivery/PP and newborn again. HOWEVER my husband wants another one like, NOW. He's so set on having another within the next 1-2 years. How does a couple compromise when one wants a baby and the other doesn't? Anyone else stopping at 1?

I feel similarly right now!!! Love my baby so much but also not feeling the urge to have another. My husband has always wanted two but we’ve agreed to put the subject on hold until she’s a year old at least, and he’s said if we stop at one he’d be okay with that too.
I know I might feel differently when she’s two or three, but just hitting pause on the conversation has been a relief. Maybe just put it on hold for awhile?

So I'm in a different boat than you somewhat, I have three little sons, and throughout my pregnancy I just knew that I would have a fourth baby. After my third son and going through the postpartum and juggling with the first two I'm not sure that I have it in me to go for a 4th round. It's still on the table but it is shelved for now. 🤷 I just don't know if I can honestly do it. Only time will tell I guess.

i’d love another baby but realistically i don’t think we could afford another child. we live in a 2 bed house with very little storage and i can’t see us being able to afford a bigger mortgage! 
i know people say once you’ve had one, a 2nd isn’t much more and they could share a room, but i’m thinking further than that; how could we afford things like music lessons or sports gear etc?

Same hahaha I love my little one so much his dad wants another one and I’m like I’m done. Esp cause his dad works from 7-7pm I don’t think I can handle 2!

We just feel complete as a family with our baby girl! Might feel differently down the road but given that we have our parents (old age/health issues) responsibility, we have decided to focus on our sweet LO for now.

Wait 4 yeara 🤣 my kids are 4 years ans 9 months apart because i do not cope with the newborn stage, or really the first entire year well. It took that long for me to feel like it was even possible to parent 2 humans. We are two and through now.

We have put a hold on the conversation as well.. I had the urge to have on more when she was 3 months but now not any more.. I don’t want to go through all of that again..
