What now?

I’ve been TTC for 4 or 5 months now. I’d like to go to a fertility doctor, but I’m not sure where to start. Do I just go to my normal doc & see who she recommends? Or can I make an appt straight to a fertility clinic? I just wanna make sure everything’s ok & get some tips. Ty in advance ☺️

We made an appt with my gyno I always see and he recommended the next steps to take to check fertility and who we should go see, both my husband and I were pleased with how he handled it and how involved he stayed with both my husband and my appts to make sure we were being taken care of to reach our goal of a family.

It can take a normal healthy couple a year to conceive.  Your chances each month are only like 20% IF you’re actually hitting peak fertility at the right time.   Are you using OPKs or temping? I’d start with that personally.   Most doctors won’t do anything until it’s been a year of trying.

Just be aware that 4 or 5 months isn’t “long enough” to be ttc. Many insurances won’t help pay for fertility until it’s been a year. At least in the US.
