Visits to L&D

Yesterday at my 33w checkup I was sent from my dr appointment to the hospital. I had a non responsive NST is what they said. My regular DR was out so I had to see the one filling in. She was worried and wanted to make sure baby was good.

I hadn’t been feeling baby girl move around as much as usual that morning. I just figured it had to do with me being back and forth at work and just thought maybe she was asleep 😴

Well after being in the hospital and getting hooked up to NST again she moved around but not as much.

They also were checking my blood pressure which began to go up and down. I got an ultrasound done and she looked great had a score of 8/8 for fetal movement and breathing and all that other stuff they checked. But since my blood pressure reading were still up and down they wanted to keep me observed until I had mainly lower readings and it was safe for me to leave.

I got a steroid shot to help baby’s lungs mature in case I have this issue again and then I will have to deliver. I returned tonight for my second dose. So if anything happens between now And schedule delivery we will be covered.

I was told to count my baby kicks but I’m not sure how to go about doing that. Like do I just pick a time and do it? What if she is asleep? Or should I do it during the day when she usually is up. Lately she hasn’t been on a regular schedule. There has been times she is all Over the place like last Wednesday for example after all my ultrasounds. And then I have days like yesterday where she barely moved and today where she had moved just a bit.

I’m just ready to have my little girl in my arms. My hubby is saying we may not have anymore kids bc he is afraid of losing me and afraid of how the next pregnancy will be considering this one has been a little hectic 😥😥
