Pediatrician says it’s ok for my son to have a flu shot when he’s allergic to eggs?

I’m very confused! I thought there was egg in the shot? I’m planning to discuss with doctor this week, but I don’t want to sound dumb. Has anyone else been told this?

My daughter has an egg allergy (not severe) and she had the flu shot and was totally fine.

There is one made without eggs, ask for that brand, they may say it's safe but I know two kids who were told this and had anaphylaxis. It's crazy to me they're recommending that. 🙅🏽‍♀️

My three year old just had his flu shot like a month ago, make sure you go read all the information about it on the cdc website, because it directly goes over the egg allergy information. Good luck!
