Bed sharing

What are your thoughts of bed sharing? My newborn will not sleep in his bassinet, sometimes I can get him to sleep in his bouncer other than that he sleeps with me is the only way he will sleep. I dont like it because I'm scared of SIDS, my boyfriend already lost a child to sids from daycare. I make sure theres nothing around, no pillow or blanket and I wake up through the night just to check but I'm seeing so much hate posts.
