What's the best foundation for dry skin? I feel like I always look cakey or the foundation doesn't last all day. I currently use Huda Beauty Faux Filter

I have dry skin and this is my magic formula:
Step 1. Nivea creme (the original one)
Step 2. Prime with Baby Skin by Maybelline (it’s surprisingly good for dry skin)
Step 3. Spray Bare With Me by NYX 
Step 4. Foundation: Kryolan TV Paint stick

I have the same issue. I started using estee lauder double wear and it’s so nice on the skin. I previously was using IT cosmetics but it make my skin oily and shiny which I hated.

YSL all-in-one glow foundation has a super moisturizing formula and it never looks cakey 
. I have combo skin so I need a matte primer to prevent looking shiny.

I love the Estee Lauder Double Wear Nude Water Fresh Makeup!! It's a satin  finish rather than a matte finish, like the original Estee Lauder Double Wear, which tends to be more drying on the skin. Therefore, a satin finish is a better option for people with dry skin types. It's a lot less thick and cakey.  Plus, it's very light weight, natural and skin-like.

I started using Elf’s hydrating primer and it helps sooooo much haha also make sure your skincare is right - use face oils at night and in the morning but make sure you put it on well before your makeup so it has a chance to absorb into your skin!

I have ridiculously dry skin. Firstly, a good skin care routine is key. I highly recommend a hyaluronic acid serum of some sort. I love Advanced Clinicals & it can be found at Walmart or Ross for about $5! Their tea tree oil is also great if you have any redness. Anyways, first I use Catrice Prime&Fine primer, but I use the green color correcting one. The foundation I use is the Wet n Wild photofocus! It’s like $5 basically anywhere (Walmart, Dollar General, Walgreens, CVS, etc) and even YouTube beauty gurus (Tati Westbrook, Manny MUA, etc) highly recommend this product!

The only foundation that doesn’t irritate my skin is Neutrogena hydro boost foundation. It has a weird applicator but it was great when my skin was all dried out from acne treatment.
