At what age did you let your kids start drinking soda?

I don't have any kids, and I'm not pregnant but just curious. I know I wouldn't want my kid to have soda when they were real little but I'm not sure what age I'd start letting them drink it

Never? We don’t drink it ourselves so I don’t think it will be an issue.

My kids are 3 and one and a half so they’re still too young. Maybe by five I’ll let them try unless they ask a little sooner. I don’t think a sip will hurt. I plan on only allowing soda when we go out to eat or during a special event so it’s not like they’ll be drinking it often when they do

My sons 3 and he’s had a few sips in his life. Idk what age I’ll allow him to actually drink soda on his own tho. 
I grew up with soda whenever I wanted and that’s not how it’ll be for him. Once I allow it it’ll be like once a month or even less until he’s much older (preteens/ teens).

My mother didn’t raise us drinking soda or any sugary drinks and I’m glad she did. My siblings and I won’t touch a soda, might take a sip of offered, but won’t drink a whole one.

My 12 year old has had it a few times at parties. My 8 and 6 year olds have never had it.

My husband and I would like for our kids not to have sodas at all, but most kids meals come with drinks, and some places don’t have options for juice or milk. Or at other people’s houses or parties, it may be allowed. We also don’t want to prevent our kids from having certain things then them go wild when they can have it.
I would hope to keep ours away from it until at least age 5.

My daughter tried a Shirley temple when she was about 6, but besides having one of those every once in a while at restaurants, she doesn’t drink it or ever like it for that matter. She says it’s too “spicy.”

She was 15 months when she had her first sip, we don’t drink soda much at home. If we are out I don’t mind her drinking some, but she usually has her own cup of juice (which isn’t any better)
