My always happy, ever-cheerful, amazing baby has found out she can scream really loudly to get what she wants. It’s not like something is wrong, cause she’ll cry if that’s the case, but it’s more of a holler.

Needless to say as a SAHM it’s beginning to wear on my nerves a bit and idk how to help. It happens when she’s under stimulated mostly I think, but I have to be able to put her down and get stuff done around the house from time to time. Hell, even if I COULD sit and hold her all day, and play with her, eventually that would drive her nuts too. Lol.

We have a lot of gadgets: a jumper, a swing, a pack and play that I put a play mat in during the day with hanging toys. All the rattle-y and shake-y and noisey ones... Some sing and light up. How do I keep her mind occupied while I get stuff done??? Is there something that can hold her interest that I’m missing out on?? I’d love an idea for a good Christmas gift and kill two birds with one stone.

All this being said, I know she’s a baby. I know she’s testing out her lungs and I’m sure it’s fun to just holler with no regard. But maybe if I can keep her mind more occupied during her down time, we could curb it a little bit? I’m all for letting her express herself, trust me, I want her to learn in ALL the ways possible, and I KNOW this is a phase of that. I just worry that I’m not doing my part in keeping her stimulated during the time I have to do stuff and I feel guilty, like maybe if she had _____ to play with/do- she wouldn’t feel the need to holler AS much. 😂

I am always there to spend hands on time too , so If that stuff can help - then bring it on.
