Nuva ring placement

I’ve been on the nuva ring for a month and had little to no side effects, I have had unprotected sex and am worried it isn’t effective because the ring likes to move around a lot no matter how much I try it always seems to make its way down and almost out. I was wondering if it is still effective though it was not all the way up there?
