Peace with North Korea?

Do you think that we could possibly achieve peace with North Korea instead of going in an all-out war? I’m taking a class on North Korean history because I wanted to learn how they became separate from the South , and honestly, it’s so sad. Although I do not sympathize with the atrocities that the Kim family has committed, I do believe that we should somehow achieve peace with North Korea. Christine Ahn, a Korean-American and feminist, has dedicated her work to advocating for peace with North Korea. I was fortunately able to meet her in person and listen to her speech at my university. She is a fascinating woman and she has changed a lot of my views on North Korea.

Edit: I live in Hawaii which is pretty much between the US and NK. We had a false missile warning almost two years ago. This issue greatly affects our community.
