How long does it take?

I am going through my first miscarriage. I started lightly bleeding(only when wiping) on Tuesday night. It is now Friday night and I am still bleeding but now it is a like a light period with some cramping.. I just want this to be over. My doctor said the cramps will become more painful and I will start passing blood clots... when does that happen? Does it just depend on my body?

Depends how far along you were too I think, everyone’s different..I started spotting at 11 weeks, went to the hospital and was told there was no heartbeat..spotted a little bit for the next 4 days then woke up in the middle of the night with excruciating pains, like I couldn’t breath...I could of waited it out I guess and pass it naturally but I couldn’t do it so had to go to the Er and have a d&c. Bled for a week afterwards

For my most recent loss, I had 1 day of very light bleeding only when I wiped. The next morning I had pain that came every few minutes and last for like a half hour (maybe longer, hard to tell) and then the bleeding started and it lasted for 7 days. For other losses which were earlier, I once went almost 2 weeks.

I was 6 weeks with my first pregnancy/ miscarriage and I bled for 2 weeks and I did pass some blood clots but not as crazy... for me the cramps were bad my lower back was killing me 😫 after I stopped bleeding but it could be different for you.

Note, docs recommend pads not tampons because a)you can monitor bleeding better and whether you need to go to the ER and b) reduces infection chances.

Bled for almost exactly 7 days and didnt pass many clots at 6 weeks pregnant. Was super painful. They kept telling me it was going to get worse and prescribed misoprostal to speed it along but I didnt end up needing you. Make sure to get a blood test and ultrasound after the bleeding has stopped to make sure you passed all the tissue.

I was 9 Weeks, light bleeding started about 2 days before I actually passed the tissue. That only lasted about 2-3 hrs, the cramping was bad while that happened. Then bled for about 2 Weeks. The 2 days after we’re the heaviest, I only wore pads because tampons were soaked in only a couple hours. After that it was like a regular period but just longer.

I didn’t pass many clots. Just a few. And bled for 17 days.
