Burning smell in only one room at night???

Basically two days ago I posted that I live in an apartment in housing and that the radiators Can be unbearably hot and that my daughter has two fans in her room. After bed I checked on her a few hours later than I usually do (she's 1 btw) I check up on her multiple times before bed usually to check if the temperature is balanced in her room.

Anyways one of her fans weren't working and me and my husband discovered a strong burning smell in her room. No smoke just burnt. I freaked out wondering how long she's been in it. Anyways she's fine, I made sure. But the weirdest thing has been happening. We put the fan down stairs unplugged and planning to toss out but her room still smells like burnt. I checked all the sockets in her room for heat. I checked her other fan that is complete fine. I opened her windows. I even smelt the walls!

I cannot figure out where that smell comes from. Weird part is it's only in her room even though ours is right next door. And the weirdest part is it's only at night. When I put her down for her naps during the day the room smells completely fine! Literally nothing all day till night time. I know we had people on both sides if us but I don't think it matters cuz it's only in one room the entire house. Then I'm thinking maybe it wasn't the fan but then I went downstairs and smelt it and the burnt smell was definitely the fan. It was strong. But why was I still smelling it in her room and only at night?!

I leave both her windows open and her fan on as well as leaving her door wide open at night with mine. It's driving me crazy, me and my husband decided to switch bedrooms tomorrow. If it's still this way by Monday I'm gonna call our housing office since they don't open till Monday and find out what could it be. I literally checked everything.
