Daycare?

would taking a clingy child to daycare help?, my daughter is so horribly clung to me, my nana watches her while I work, I can’t go anywhere without her when I’m at home, curious what to do 🤷🏽‍♀️

It might help. It might  take a while for her to get used to it and she will have a few hard days. I hated Amelia going to daycare when she was an infant and did not trust her teachers but this year I love it. I love her new teachers and she is learning so much. She also knows the names of her little friends and lights up when she says it.

I would guess it would be good for her... and really good for you! But it will probably take awhile for her to adjust and just so you know... drop off is so hard and heartbreaking when they cry but you do need to make yourself just turn and walk away... our teachers are awesome at making us feel better. If my babe cries at drop off, they call later to let us know how long it took her to calm down and after a week, they would tell me she stopped crying by the time I got to my car.

She probably just misses you. She will likely still be clingy when she's home. You're her safe haven. Put her on a baby carrier maybe?
