Socially awkward?

I struggle with texting people I hardly know, for example my son is 8 so when he makes plans with friends and I have to text the parents I really struggle with what to say. I don’t know why I struggle so much. My husband says I’m weird because of it haha.

My son is at a friends house today and the dad has been texting me undated and what not. He texted me asking if I was cool with them taking my son to a play place for the day. Of course I’m okay with it but it took me so long to figure out what to say and after I sent it I can’t stop thinking did I sounds dumb? he said good morning and that the boys were awake and playing and asked if we had plans for today and if we were okay with him taking them to a play place. Well I replied with “good morning! We have nothing planned today, he totally can go to a play place, that would be so much fun for the boys” does that sound dumb? I feel like I should have just said “of course he can go to a play place, we have no plans today”. Am I just overthinking everything? It’s driving me crazy.
