Being judged for getting induced on Due Date!

I want to hear everyone's opinion on this because I was a little shocked when I found out that people were upset about this. I currently am 39 weeks along and am being induced on my original due date which is in 5 days. Well I was so happy to have set that date because I have gestational diabities and that strep b thing. Also I dont want my baby to get too big coming out and right now he will either be In the 7 or 8 lb range. Well my mother and father in law told my husband they think it's wrong to be induced on purpose and to not just wait for him to come out on his own. My other friend and my sister in law think the same. All these people dont know that I have GD by the way because I kept that private. But I probably would still be doing this even if I didnt. Just really dont understand why people care so much about what I'm do I'll ng with my own body. So I have these people coming over at christmas and I'm sure they are going to ask me why I'm doing this and I told my husband that I'm going to tell them that it's my body. Just because I dont honestly feel like I have to explain myself. He thinks I'm being rude. What do you all think?
