When did you move baby to their own room?

If you moved them before 6 months.. why? And how did it go once you transitioned them into their crib?
Not planning on moving my baby just yet.. she’s only a month old but I think she’ll definitely outgrow her bassinet in our room before she’s 6 months.. she’s also a very noisy sleeper.

We had baby out in the living room in her pack n play and my husband and I took shifts sleeping on the couch/sleeping in our room. She was hardly sleeping and one night we tried putting her in her crib and slept in the guest room across the hall and she did so much better. Everyone in the house got more sleep when she moved. We felt comfortable having her in there since she was right across the hall from the guest bed where one of us were.

My son slept in his own room, in his own crib the first night we brought him home. We had the Owlet monitor that measured everything, so we weren’t worried. 
I spent thousands on his nursery for a reason; so that he could use it for its intended purpose. We rocked him to sleep and placed him in his crib. 
He’s 3 now. We still rock him to sleep every night and place him in his toddler bed.

She came out demanding her own room. 🤷‍♀️ There wasn't room in our tiny room. Her room is next to ours. We have an audio only monitor.

The AAP recommends keeping baby in your room (but never in your bed) for at least 6-12 months. We kept our daughter in our room until she was about 6.5/7 months and then moved her from there. We also opted not to do any sort of bassinet for the exact reason you've mentioned. They're super temporary and it only would have lasted 2 or 3 months with her (she was 99th percentile for height and outgrew her infant car seat by 4 months lol). We used a pack n play instead. As for the move itself, we only moved her because she stopped sleeping through the night and became very restless. We thought our movements were keeping her up so we moved her and she went back to sleeping through. Otherwise, we would have kept her in our room for the full 12 months as recommended. The transition wasn't a problem at all. She was sleep trained by 5 weeks and she always slept in her own sleep space so moving her wasn't a big deal at all.

We had to move her around 4 weeks. She would wake to the slightest sound. We couldn’t even turn over in bed without her stirring. She’s still in her bassinet and sleeps 2-4 hour stretches.

My first went to her own room around 6 months old. My 2nd has been in his room since the day we came home from the hospital. We have a bed in there. Figured we’d go back to our room when we are ready. Then he’ll be used to his room already and no need to transition him. All 3 rooms are right by each other and we have a video monitor that scans between rooms.

My first we moved at 4 months because he moved around so much in his bed and kept me awake all night. My second we moved at 5 months because he hates the pack n play and I wanted him out to my bed. No problems transitioning either of them. The night before the move I slept with their new sheets so their new bed smelled like me.

We moved our son at 2 months into his crib in his own room. He made soooo much noise sleeping in our room that we weren’t sleeping. He did just fine with it and his nursery is literally next door to our room.

8 months but wish I would’ve done it earlier! She became the best sleeper of all time when u moved her up there, and completely weaned herself from waking for any nursing sessions...she is 13mo now and since I switched her 5 months ago she sleeps a sold 12 hours without EVER waking up. Next go round baby is starting off in the crib😁 I’m not going to set up a “nursery” right off the bat and just leave the queen bed in the room with the crib (currently guest BR) so that I can sleep up there until i feel comfortable leaving baby to sleep alone 😴
