Tips on potty training??

Is your June baby potty trained?? If yes, how did you do it?! We are going to start, again after the holiday. Thanks!!

My son has no issues with being wet ALL DAY. I’m afraid he’s never going to be potty trained. His pediatrician said that if we try to start before he’s ready, it’s just going to take until he’s ready regardless, so if I want to beat my head against the wall for months, I can go ahead and start whenever I want. I regularly (no pressure) ask him if he wants to pee in the potty or poop in the potty and he says no, I don’t want to create issues with potty training so I don’t press the issue, but I’m starting to stress because he’s not going to be able to start preschool in August if he isn’t potty trained

No diapers for nap time helped my little guy. Underwear or naked all day, except overnight. I also found a potty training episode of Daniel Tiger that my son loves, while searching for potty songs. Really clicked suddenly after watching it a bit.

We just put my daughter in underwear last month. She was home with pneumonia, so I figured we’d try. She had 1-2 accidents, mainly when she couldn’t get her pants or stockings down quick enough. We rewarded her with lots of praise, enthusiasm, and mini m&ms. 2 for pee and 3 for poop. She got the hang of it easily and we ditched the m&ms after the 3rd day. She stays dry during nap time so we don’t do diapers for that, but we do a diaper at night still just in case. She stays dry and uses the bathroom as soon as she wakes up. This worked for my son as well. Straight to underwear one day. We used tic tacs with him 😂 he was 2 years 8 months, she was 2 years 5 months. Thankfully both super easy. Good luck to you!

My daughter is daytime potty trained and will only wear underwear during the day no matter what’s going on or where we’re going. I told her that she was going to wear big girl underwear now and not to pee in them and that was all it took. We were making decent strides a few months ago, but had a planned Disney trip and I couldn’t imagine having to take her to use the bathrooms in the park so we backed off. I started keeping her naked before she was able to pull her underwear up and down and then we used underwear once she got the hang of it. We used m&ms as incentive...I wish we didn’t do that now since she expects something every time. At night she wears pull ups and really has no control while sleeping. Even naps are hit or miss. She has not had an accident while awake since putting the underwear on her, but will go in underwear while in a deep sleep.

Omg we started today I would love to hear from others. 1 1/2 successes and a lot of misses (peeing on the floor). I’m so wiped but persistence is key and tomorrow is another day.

It’s a struggle. She will hold her pee and pee in the potty but hold her poop because she’s afraid to go in the toilet.
