What are swaddle blankets used for (when not for swaddling?)?

We plan in using the Velcro and zip up swaddle outfits and sleep sacks instead of actually swaddling with a swaddle blanket. I know people use swaddle blankets though for many other reasons so I’m curious what other uses they have? Thanks in advance!

We only used zipper swaddles but received tons of swaddling blankets as gifts for both children. We used them as blankets for car/stroller rides when it’s cold, and as cuter burp cloths.

If we need to do diaper changes, wipe ups, n use as a regular blanket

We use the muslin ones to drape over her stroller or car seat when she’s napping and we’re out, and the cotton ones were pretty useless. Mostly good as burp cloths.

Burp clothes , blankets, lay on floor for tummy time, drape over carseat in grocery store if sleeping, peek a boo lol
